George W. Bush had tears welling in his eyes during his speech at the dedication of George Bush Presidential Center. He cracked jokes like there was a time in his life he “was not likely to be found in a library, much less found one”  but concluded the speech with tears in his eyes saying  that  America’s best days are ahead.

Dignitaries from countries like Israel, Korea, Georgia, Spain, Australia, UK, Ghana, El Salvador and Italy attended the dedication along with five US presidents past and present. The 40,000 crowd that attended the dedication  also had a glimpse of Bush father, George HW Bush, who was on wheelchair.

Bill Clinton delivered a funny speech that made even Bush laugh. He said that he had a couple of conversations with Bush during Bush second term and added, “A chill went up and down my spine when Laura said that all their records were digitized. Dear God, I hope there’s no record of those conversations in this vast and beautiful building.”

Barack Obama praised Bush also in his speech for being a “good man” and a man of compassion and generosity who “takes the job seriously but does not take himself seriously.”
