Stripper Tiffany Evans, 20, was getting a lift home from work in about 3am when the female driver was pulled over by police for running a red light.
While Evans was just a passenger, she suddenly became the focus of police attention when nearly 50 bags of drugs fell out of her short shorts.
Springfield police Sgt. John Delaney said Evans, from Albany in New York, dropped her illegal load as she stepped out of the car during a traffic stop near Union and Maple Sts.
‘During the traffic stop the officers could see that young Tiffany was attempting to hide a large amount of packaged heroin on her person,’ Springfield police Sgt. John Delaney told The Courant.
‘Since she was just coming from work at a local strip club she did not have enough clothing on to conceal the illegal narcotic.’
‘There was no pant leg,’ Delaney said.
‘That’s how short they were.
‘She tried to put them inside the pants, but she couldn’t get them in there.’
The young performer denied the charge of possession of heroin with intent to distribute at her arraignment in the Springfield District Court on Friday.
Bail was set at $1,000 personal surety and Evans was ordered to return to court on August 15 for a pre-trial hearing, according to MassLive.
The driver was issued a citation for running a red light.
