Alec Baldwin unleashes homophobic and violent Twitter tirade at MailOnline reporter
Alec Baldwin has gone on an extraordinary homophobic Twitter rant, threatening a MailOnline reporter over a story published about his wife Hilaria Baldwin.
The 55-year-old actor has since deleted his entire Twitter account.
The shocking outburst came after MailOnline claimed that his 32-year-old yoga instructor wife had broadcast a series of upbeat tweets about shopping for a wedding anniversary present and fruit smoothies during Sopranos star James Gandolfini‘s funeral on Thursday.
Baldwin, 55, and his wife categorically deny doing any such thing.
Last night, MailOnline announced that it would be seeking urgent clarification from Twitter as to when Mrs Baldwin’s tweets were posted after finding them stamped with several different times on mulitple computers and mobile devices even within the same city of New York.
In a series of poisonous tweets, the father-of-one repeatedly threatened reporter George Stark with violence.
He said: ‘I’m gonna find you George Stark, you toxic little queen, and I’m gonna f*** you… up.’
‘If put my foot up your f*****g a**, George Stark, but I’m sure you’d dig it too much.
‘My wife and I attended a funeral to pay our respects to an old friend, and some toxic Brit write this f*****g trash.’
Baldwin then encouraged his army of Twitter followers to weigh in with physical violence.
‘I want all of my followers and beyond to straighten out this f*****g little b****.’
‘George Stark, you lying little b****. I am gonna f%#@ you up.’
Stark has since received abusive messages via Twitter from some of Baldwin’s followers.
Baldwin also wrote: ‘Someone wrote that my wife was tweeting at a funeral. Hey. That’s not true. But I’m gonna tweet at your funeral.’
Before deleting his Twitter account he signed off: ‘My wife DID NOT use her phone, in any capacity, at our friends funeral. Now, f*** this twitter + good luck to all of you who know the truth.’
Many on Twitter were stunned by the outburst.
One user, Michelle Malkin, wrote: ‘Scariest thing about Alec Baldwin Twitter meltdown: This goon is about to be a father again.’
Another Twitter user called Christopher, with the handle @JCBaggee wrote: ‘Well, I see Alec Baldwin lost his f*****g mind ag [again] — well, wait. Did he ever really get it back?’
Twitter user Ronald Thatcher called for credit card Capital One, who uses the actor in its adverts, to fire the actor over his homophobic rant:
‘@CapitalOne You must fire Alec Baldwin,’ he wrote. ‘He is a disgusting person who constantly slurs huge groups of ppl & reflects terribly on ur company.’
Baldwin’s publicist told MailOnline the couple stayed at the ceremony for an ‘extended period of time’ before leaving early as Mrs Baldwin, who is seven month pregnant, was feeling faint.
He said Mrs Baldwin did not have her phone with her and had in fact left the ceremony when she made the tweets.
He did not have any comment on Alec’s homophobic and threatening public comments.
Also on Twitter, Mrs Baldwin insisted: ‘FYI I don’t believe in bringing phones into a funeral and I never did and I never would.’
She later defended her husband’s reaction, adding: ‘My husband fights for me fiercely. It hurts to be misunderstood and it hurts to see your loved one in pain-even more so when she is pregnant.’

Baldwin is notorious for his angry outbursts.
In 2007 he called his daughter Ireland, then just 11, a ‘rude, thoughtless little pig’ in a recorded phone message. He later made a public apology.
In December 2011 he was thrown off an American Airlines flight when he wouldn’t turn off phone while playing Words With Friends while the plane was still on the tarmac. He later took to Twitter to criticise the female flight attendant, describing her as a ‘retired Catholic school gym teacher’ from the 1950s.
In September 2010, a New York Daily News photographer filed an assault complaint with the police department, alleging the actor punched him.
Earlier this year, he was accused of a racist verbal attack on a photographer working for the New York Post. He denied the claim, but , admitted to yelling: ‘I hope you choke to death.’
Baldwin, who lives in New York, married Hilaria in June last year after dating for just a year.
They announced in February this year that she was pregnant and is due to give birth this summer.
Baldwin met his first wife, Kim Basinger in 1990 after co-starring together as lovers in The Marrying Man.
They married three years later, and had one child together, Ireland, now 17.
Basinger and Baldwin finalised their divorce in 2002, after splitting the previous year.
Sopranos fan… but he’s got other things on his mind too: Alec tweeted about a new movie and later, the TV star
