A private DJ booth, a fibre-optic lit swimming pool and popstar Shakira‘s nightgown pinned on the wall are just a few luxury extras which have propelled hotels into a list of the top 101 Suites in the World.
The ratings have been revealed today by US-based private jet magazine Elite Traveler – and London and the UK feature very highly in the guide with the capital containing more suites in the list than any other city.
Pop star life: The Rock Star Suite in the Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta, in Neuvo Vallarta in Mexico. It is the perfect setting for any pop princess with £1,720 a night to spare, with a full luminous bar, double jacuzzi and plenty of celebrity memorabilia including Madonna’s Black bustier and Shakira’s silk nightgown

Down Mexico way: A favourite of Eva Longoria who must have an eye for a bargain, as at £1,180 a night, the Garza Blanca Preserve Resort’s penthouse suite is a snip compared to some of the suites featured in the ‘Top 101 suites in the world’
The suites at the other five properties are a relative bargain in comparison such as the Royal Suite, InterContinental at London’s Park Lane, at £10,000 per night and the Ebony Suite, at the May Fair, at £1,950 a night.
The WOW suite at the Sentosa Cove, Singapore features in The ‘Elite Traveler’ magazine’s ‘Top 101 suites in the world’ list.
The suite costs £6,875 a night and features a DJ booth, full bar, drop down TV that descends from the ceiling and a plunge pool out on the balcony.

Luxurious: The Penthouse Suite, at the Wellesley, was the second most exensive in the UK, costing £6,600 a night

THE GLAMOROUS SUITES REPRESENTING THE UK
The UK’s representatives include the most expensive suite out of the six
London-based properties, the Royal Suite at the InterContinental London Park Lane, costing £10,000 per night.
