Police are hunting for a woman who walked into an Apple store in South Florida on Tuesday afternoon, showed an employee what appeared to be a device strapped to her chest, asked for help, and then promptly left.
She is described as approximately 5ft 8in, possibly Hispanic and was wearing a red hoodie, black leggings and a red and black hat.
The woman is captured on surveillance video entering the Apple store and walking directly to the back, where she attempted to enter the men’s restroom.
Twenty seconds later, she walked back into the store and entered a back storage area where she was approached by an Apple employee.
The woman then unzipped her hoodie to reveal a ‘small black object attached to her chest by a strap’.
It is described as being four inches by four inches and she was also wearing some type of audio earpiece.
According to the police report she asked the employee for help, but also asked them not to call police or she would be harmed.
Surveillance footage showed her then leave the mall through the loading dock and run through the parking lot.
The cops were called to the mall, but couldn’t find any trace of the woman.
