The United States of America has always been a land of immigrants . But there’s a different attitude from the new wave of immigrants that’s been coming to the country in the recent decades thanks to the voter-hungry kowtowing politicians in Washington D.C. who set the tone on how the new immigrants should behave inside the country.
George W. Bush had tears welling in his eyes during his speech at the dedication of George Bush Presidential Center. He cracked jokes like there was a time in his life he “was not likely to be found in a library, much less found one” but concluded the speech with tears in his eyes saying that America’s best days are ahead.
Dignitaries from countries like Israel, Korea, Georgia, Spain, Australia, UK, Ghana, El Salvador and Italy attended the dedication along with five US presidents past and present. The 40,000 crowd that attended the dedication also had a glimpse of Bush father, George HW Bush, who was on wheelchair.
Bill Clinton delivered a funny speech that made even Bush laugh. He said that he had a couple of conversations with Bush during Bush second term and added, “A chill went up and down my spine when Laura said that all their records were digitized. Dear God, I hope there’s no record of those conversations in this vast and beautiful building.”
Barack Obama praised Bush also in his speech for being a “good man” and a man of compassion and generosity who “takes the job seriously but does not take himself seriously.”
You can say that George W. Bush is the happiest man in America today. With the dedication of his George W. Bush Presidential Center at Southern Methodist University in Dallas today and its opening on May 1, this is just one of the things that is adding joy to his heart. According to recent poll, his approval rating today is up compared to being the most vilified president by the media and the left during his eight years in the office. And history will be favorable to George Bush because history will write him as the liberator of millions in a country ruled by a cruel dictator. Bush never got upset with his critics and haters. He is a decent man who knows how to treat others decently, even the ones who suffer the still incurable Bush-derangement-syndrome.
But Bush source of happiness is not because of his library or his approval rating or his historic legacy – only shallow people do that- but it’s the love-filled life he’s been blessed with. Few among Americans and even among American presidents today you see someone who grew up in love and has a genuine loving family. Most people today grew up experiencing their first tragedy at a very young age – the divorce of their parents. Bush never had that while Bill Clinton and Obama came from divorced fatherless homes.
Bush just became a granddaddy to Jenna Bush Hager‘s daughter and that’s a new source of happiness. He has a wife who is his best friend and shares deep love with and that’s a treasure kind of happiness.
Town and Country voted the Bush clan as the most powerful family in the country and with good reasons. George Bush still has his mother and father, the matriarch and the patriarch of the Bush clan, who loves him and the family. Imagine every get Bush family together is a huge fun event for everybody, a tradition of bonding and love hardly seen among American families today.. You see the Bush family and you see warmth and love. That’s something dreamed of by many Americans today who grew up in dysfunctional homes. George Bush experience of growing up in a stable and loving family from his parents to Laura and their children is something that Bill Clinton and Barack Obama wish they had growing up. His marriage with Laura is something that I believe the other two presidents secretly wish they have. And his daughters, they will continue to bring new source of joy for him and Laura.
Life has many celebrations but the unbroken string of love from childhood to old age is the greatest celebration of all.
