On February 21, Italian newspaper La Repubblica claims the reason Pope Benedict XVI resigned is because of an upcoming sex scandal involving froup of gay Vatican prelates being blackmailed by a group of male prostitutes in Rome. Prelates are church dignitaries like archbishops, bishop or any high ranking clergy.
The pope said “he no longer has the strength of mind and body” to be a pope. His resignation coincided with the release of Relationem, a 300-page report he commissioned to his three cardinals to investigate the documents stolen by his former butler, Paolo Gabriele, and used them as materials for his bestselling book Vatileaks. Gabriele was found guilty last October of stealing confidential documents from the pope’s apartment. The newspaper also alleged meetings of gay prelates and male prostitutes in saunas and villas and even inside Vatican rooms.
In 2010, journalist Carmello Abbate went undercover with hidden camera to document “Good Nights Out for Gay Priests”. He showed them dirty dancing and doing sexual acts on church properties as well as leaving dark rooms before celebrating mass. In 2009, Vatican was involved in a scandal wherein its cardinals and high-ranking priests claimed to be customers of Rome’s elite transsexual circuit. This was after the driver of former governor of Lazio, Piero Marrazzo, who was involved in transvestite prostitutes scandal told reporters about seeing the prelates as part of the elite transsexual circuit in Rome.
The Catholic church has not recovered yet from pedophile scandals involving its priests and if this is true, the gay sexcapades of its high ranking officials would rank the worst scandal for the Vatican to date.
