Zev Chafets‘ Diagnosis of Detroit’s Demise
RUSH LIMBAUGH July 23, 2013
–Detroit was the most racist city in the north, and it wasn’t accidental. It was the policy of the police department to hire southern lawmen and give orders to kick butt. The city was completely segregated. Urban renewal crowded all the blacks into very small neighborhoods. The city was racially tense for years. Now, in 1967 the blacks in Detroit rioted. They burned down and looted whole neighborhoods. Whites fled so fast that they were moving into unfinished houses in the suburbs.

Rush: Racism worse under Obama, ‘Country’s more divided in more ways than I can remember in my adult lifetime’
WND: Talk radio icon Rush Limbaugh warned his listeners Wednesday that while many expected the election of a half-black president would ease racial strife in American, it is worse than ever under Barack Obama.
Limbaugh was reflecting on the newest strategy by Attorney General Eric Holder – to attack laws that allow self-defense, such as the famed “Stand Your Ground” law in Florida that was cited by neighborhood watch volunteer George ZimmermanHe was acquitted last week of charges of second-degree murder after a jury decided he had been in fear for his life when teen Trayvon Martin was beating his head on a concrete sidewalk. Zimmerman pulled his firearm and shot. Continue reading

MSNBC anchor Chris Matthews, who famously said he felt a thrill up his leg listening to Barack Obama speak in 2008, is now blaming a lackluster speech Wednesday by the U.S. president in Berlin on the sun.
“I think a lot of the problem he had today was the late afternoon sun in Berlin ruined his use of the teleprompter and so his usual dramatic windup was ruined,” Matthews said moments after the address. “I think he was really struggling with the text there.”
Radio powerhouse Rush Limbaugh says President Obama is basically telling Americans “F. You” with his two latest appointments in his administration. Reports indicate Susan Rice, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, will become a national security adviser, and her replacement at the U.N. will be Samantha Power, a foreign-policy expert who is married to Obama’s former regulatory “czar” Cass Sunstein.
“I’m gonna tell you what these two appointments are. They are ‘F. You,’ and he’s saying that to us,” Limbaugh said Wednesday on his national broadcast. Limbaugh called the situation a “Star Wars scene going on right now at the White House.”“I have no respect for these people at all. None,” he said. “I respect the offices they hold, but to me, these people are just the epitome of danger.”
He continued: “It doesn’t matter who’s in these positions. They’re all him (Obama). Every one of them is as true a believer as Obama is, and that’s why they are there. And it’s been that way since he first started naming people to his regime, naming his czars. And I totally believe that these people have secret email addresses and I totally believe they’re working to undermine the way this country was founded. I’ve no doubt in my mind that’s what they’re doing. They don’t like it. They don’t like the Constitution.”
“The fact that this woman lied to the country and lied to the Republicans about Benghazi and he promotes her is exactly what he wants,” Limbaugh said. These people are who they are. My point in all of this, there better be some stand-up push-back to some of this at some point, rather than just expressing outrage.”

Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., appearing on Fox News Sunday made remarks that made number one radio host Rush Limbaugh notice. Durbin said on the show there’s no rush to call for special counsel to investigate the recent Obama/Holder monitoring and snooping of journalists at Associated Press and Fox News.
The not-so-excited-to-investigate and not-yet-ready-to-investigate Senator Durbin is instead calling for alternative action that he calls “media shield law” . But Durbin was not sure if the media shield law would protect bloggers and “someone who is tweeting“. Durbin argues, “ What is a journalist today in 2013? We know it’s someone who works for Fox or AP, but does it include a blogger? Does it include someone who is tweeting? Are these people journalists and entitled to constitutional protection? We need to ask 21st century questions about a provision that was written over 200 years ago.”
However, Rush Limbaugh on Tuesday during his show interprets Durbin’s remarks as Democrats plan to license journalists. Limbaugh said,” You see what they want do folks? That’s right, they want to set up licensing of journalists. That’s where the Democrats are headed on this. “You tweeters, you bloggers, you are not journalists. We are going to determine who is a journalist and who is not. We are going to license journalists. ..that Constitution’s 200-plus years old. It’s no longer relevant.” That’s what it means.”
Rush made it a good point that if government “will decide who is a journalist and who is not and grant licenses and approvals. And if you don’t get your license and you start doing journalism, you could be sent to jail or you could be reprimanded.”
Remember America that it was a non-journalist Thomas Paine and his 48-page pamphlet Common Sense that stirred up the 1776 American Revolution. Common Sense is still believed today to be the “most incendiary and popular pamphlet of the entire revolutionary era.” Paine avoided the journalistic style of writing at that time that used Latin and other complex phrases to impress the upper echelon but kept the lowly ignorant. Paine broke the mold by writing Common Sense using man’s everyday language. It was read at public gatherings where common folks gather. In proportion to the colonies 2.5 million population at that time, Common Sense had the largest sale and circulation of any published book in American history.
Dick Durbin is acting like an elitist British lord looking down his Democrat nose to ordinary people like Thomas Paine and the bloggers and tweeters of today in order to protect the royal highness of the Obama administration. If the American government won’t allow the Thomas Paine people of today to express their views against or for the government, that kind of insecurity is dangerous because from that insecurity is lurking behind a need for tyranny. With tyranny, there’s no liberty. America needs more Thomas Paine in order to stop any tyranny.
