A powerful anti-abortion ad that depicts a 20-week-old baby cradled in the palm of a hand has been rejected by three of the nation’s largest newspapers because it’s too controversial.

The ad, accompanied by the words, “This child has no voice, which is why it depends on yours,” was turned down by the Chicago Tribune, USA Today and the Los Angeles Times, the National Review Online reported Tuesday.

The church suffering from attention deficit disorder is at it again. Westboro Baptist church sent outrageous tweets thanking God for the Arizona wildfire that killed the 19 firefighters. The loony group is also planning to hold a picket during the funerals. They added also that the dead firefighters are in hell and call the fire ‘a marvelous work of God’ that ‘makes them want to ‘bow in humble thanks and praise to God.’ This is the church that got addicted to their 15 minutes of fame and continue to recycle the recipe of outrageous protests and hate-mongering in order to continue to be relevant. Hey, WBC … not only you give Christians a bad name, you sure know how to dishonor the name of God.

Jeff Markin: Back from the Dead, Reborn Into the Light

CBN.com – It was the morning of September 20, 2006.  Jeff Markin recalls heading for work as usual.  What he doesn’t remember is driving himself to the hospital.

He had called his boss and told him he didn’t feel well. His boss was concerned and convinced Jeff to go to the emergency room.  Somehow Jeff made it.  Once he got there, he collapsed.

Dr. Chauncey Crandall was doing rounds in the intensive care unit that morning. He recalls, “An alert call came over the PA system that someone had arrived at the hospital with a massive deadly heart attack. Then a second call went out over the PA system and specifically asking for me because I was the cardiologist on that day. When I arrived there, it was like a war zone. It was chaos. Everyone there fighting to keep this man alive.”

The ER staff worked on Jeff for 40 minutes. They shocked him a dozen times. Despite their efforts, there was no response.

Former Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa., has been named as head of EchoLight Studios, which is aiming to release its first faith-based film in the fall.

DALLAS — Former U.S. Senator and GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum has been named CEO of a company that makes movies meant for a Christian audience. EchoLight Studios said Monday that Santorum will serve as head of the company. The company’s first film is slated for release in the fall, and it has another movie in post-production. The company says Santorum has spent the past year working with Dallas-based EchoLight. Santorum says in a statement that Dallas can become the Hollywood of the faith-and-family movie market.
